Life, so fragile, is ours to live.
Know we not when it begins or ends.
Time sifts events by moments as a sieve.
Always moving forward our attention we give.
Each second, moment and hour seem to blend.
Life, so fragile, is ours to live.
Thoughts, actions, intentions dare we misgive,
Lest joy, hope or love unwittingly suspends.
Time sifts events by moments as a sieve.
Ah we yearn at close of day to relive,
Delicate moments which our mind attends.
Life, so fragile, is ours to live.
Learn we must to forgive,
Ourselves and others as grace transcends.
Time sifts events by moments as a sieve.
Compassion, forgiveness and acceptance we do not outlive.
Love pulls us forward as our hand extends.
Life, so fragile, is ours to live.
Time sifts events by moments as a sieve.
