No matter what you decide to do or see this holiday season, remember that the most important thing is spending time with your family! Whether you celebrate Christmas or Kwanza or Hannakuh, being with your family over the holidays is the best way to have a good time and really enjoy the season.
A few other holiday tips:
1. Hand make cards and/or gifts for your friends and family. You can add personal touches and taking the time to make something really shows you care!
2. Include your pets! Add an extra stocking to the fireplace and take your kids shopping for a gift. Kids love to include their favorite pets in the festivities.
3. Bring back the old tradition of milk and cookies for Santa if it's not something your family does anymore. Kids love seeing Santa ate their cookies. And baking cookies is something the family can do together. Get holiday shaped cookie cutters!
Halloween?
1. Make your kids their dream costume, if you have the skills! Letting them help will make them proud of it.
2. Make sure to check your kids candy when they bring it home. Ditch any that seems suspicious.
3. Make sure to take flashlights trick or treating. Also, make sure you use the sidewalks and not the road.
4. Kids too young to carve their own pumpkin? Try letting them use paints to draw a face instead or try pumpkin stencils!
Have a happy holiday season!
