With local 4th of July celebrations right around the corner, it is time to start packing up the lawn chairs and heading out to enjoy the night skies of Memphis. To help you plan your 4th of July celebrations, here is a list of fireworks displays scheduled for the Memphis area. Pick a show (or three) for your whole family to enjoy.

The first July 4th festivity this year is taking place at Bellevue Baptist Church, located at I-40 & Appling Road. The Starlight Spectacular takes place Sunday, June 26th at 6:30pm. You can bring your lawn chairs and blankets to make yourself comfortable as you enjoy music by Sara Groves and the Bellevue Orchestra. Bring your favorite picnic snacks or buy food at the event. Games will be provided for kids, and adults, to enjoy throughout the evening. Bellevue always puts on a fantastic display, and this event is sure to be enjoyable for the whole family.

The next major fireworks display in the area takes place on Saturday, July 2nd in Bartlett. The Bartlett Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at the Bobby k. Flaherty Municipal Center, located at Appling Road and Highway 79. The festivities begin at 6:30, with fireworks beginning at sundown. There will be games, music, a car show, and food available for purchase. Bring your lawn chairs and get ready for this amazing show as the skies in Bartlett light up!

Saturday, July 2nd is also the night for fireworks in Collierville. The Collierville Independence Day Celebration will take place at the H.W. Cox Park, located at 350 W. Powell Road. Festivities begin at 5:30pm. Of course, there will be plenty of games, entertainment, and food to keep you entertained while you wait for the spectacular show.

On July 3rd you will have the opportunity to combine two favorite past times in one. The Memphis Redbirds have a home game at Autozone Park beginning at 6:05pm. Bring your family out to cheer on the Redbirds as they take on the Redhawks. The evening will be a salute to the Armed Forces night. Stick around after the game for one of the greatest fireworks displays you will see. The Red, White, and Boom FIREWORKS! will be presented by the Tennessee National Guard. This is sure to be a fun filled evening the whole family will enjoy.

July 4th has several choices for fireworks shows this year:

The Germantown Fireworks Extravaganza begins at 5:00 at the Germantown municipal Park. As always, there will be music and food on hand to enjoy while you wait for the fireworks to begin at 9:10pm.
