April Fox
and when the door closed
it was soft
i heard a thousand words on the breath
it left behind
a thousand empty words
so coarse and sweet they made me hurt
and turn away
and hide my eyes from the garish light
they threw at me-
i want to sit in the sun
catch the reflection of a star
sleep in the grass on a blanket of moonlight
not wear this ragged patch of
phosphorescence
you threw at me.
