CoverGirl's Clean Makeup
I think CoverGirl has some of the best lighter foundations for summer. The foundation called Clean Makeup is very light and a little bit is all it takes to cover your face. It is affordable and many state on their website that it is easy to find the shade that fits them. I use two shades, because when I am tan I like to match it to my tan; sometimes I will mix them a little as well, but I tend to have skin that is hard to find the right shade for. This is a lighter foundation and blends well into your skin without clogging pores, so you don't get ugly bumps or pimples from it.
CoverGirl's CG Smoothers Tinted Moister
This is a great product for those who are looking for lighter foundations for summer, and have dry skin. I love the fact that it is a sunscreen, which helps keep the wrinkles away and smooths out blimishes as well. For a lighter foundation, this one is at the top of my list, because I don't have to pile on tons of lotion to my dry skin, before I add makeup.
4-In-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation
PurMinerals offers this foundation and I must stay that I love it because it is a pressed foundation. It's easier to use and I think it takes less time than a liquid foundation. I use a brush to apply this light foundation and take it right from the compact to my face. With liquid foundations you apply them to your hand to warm them and then brush them on, which does make a bigger mess and take more time. This is a lighter foundation for summer, because it has better coverage than a powder foundation but is weightless, because it's made out of things that are good to your skin instead of bad.
Revlon's Custom Creations
Custom Creations is a wonderful product year-round but is light and airy with SPF 15, which is great for a lighter summer foundation. I personally love this product, because I don't have to mix foundations, it does it for me. Custom Creations is not the lightest formula, but I believe that it is one of the top five, because it is able to match someone's skin tone more accurately and still provides the necessary protection from the harsh sun.
Revlon's Color Stay Mineral Foundation
I've found with many lighter foundations, I have to reapply through out the day, or do some touch ups. In the summer months, this can be a hassle. I like this lighter summer foundation, because I didn't notice it all day, I didn't even realize I had makeup on until the end of the day. This is a loose powder foundation, and has SPF 10.
