Like a Drug

Poem About an All Encompassing Love

Nikki Freeman
Like a drug
Pulsating through my veins
Erupting on every side of my consciousness
Being engulfed in your presence
No need to eat
No need for sleep
If I am with you, as you are with me
The world need take no mercy on my shattered soul
I would ask nothing more
To be held, felt, with the same fullfillment
You give me
Could make my dream
Reality
And you could stay here, forever
The perfect love, on the brink
Created by our obscure space
The small discreet area
Between me and you
