Lil' Kim Hits Nicki Minaj with a Bloody Album Cover; Jealous Much?

Jolie du Pre
Those who follow Lil' Kim and Nicki Minaj know that the two female rappers have been in a cat fight. The 35-year-old Lil' Kim is clearly angry with the 26-year-old Nicki Minaj. Now, the gloves are off with the "Queen Bee," and she's taking it to the next level with her "Black Friday" album cover.

Nicky Minaj released "Pink Friday" in November of 2009. It's a pink album cover, Harajuku Barbie style, with Minaj on the floor sporting elongated legs, silver corset, lots of flowing pink crinoline, pink stilettos and a pink wig.

However, for Lil' Kim's "Black Friday" cover, Kim's on the floor holding a long spear covered in blood. There's more blood everywhere, and there's an image of what appears to be Minaj, dressed in her "Pink Friday" outfit, stabbed and dead on the floor.

Read some of Lil' Kim's and Nicki Minaj's lyrics to get a feel for more of the cat fight.

Lil' Kim on "Black Friday":

"Who the f--k want war
FedEx beef straight to your front door
It'll be a murder scene
I'm turning Pink Friday to Friday the 13th
Aight you Lil Kim clone clown
all this buffoonery, the sh-t stops now."

Nicky Minaj on "Roman's Revenge":

"So f--k I look like gettin' back to a has-been?
Yeah, I said it, has-been
Hang it up, flatscreen
(Haha) Plasma."

Despite the lyrics, the fact is, today, Nicki Minaj is more popular than Lil' Kim. For example, Kim has a little over 139,000 followers on Twitter. Minaj has over 2 million. And if Kim wants to prove she's still the Queen, a b-level album cover for "Black Friday" doesn't cut it. "Pink Friday" has a more professional look. Nor does selling the album with a PayPal link, rather than on iTunes, prove that you've got game.

Perhaps America's most popular gossip blogger, Perez Hilton, summed it up best.

"There is nothing sexy about this Kill Bill thing you've got going on here, especially when the aggression seems to be directed at a very specific, very real person," said Perez Hilton to Lil' Kim. "If you are trying to make the point that you are better than her, do it with your music. Lay down tracks that are undeniably flawless and clever."

I think they should collaborate and stop the hate! :) I'm a poet and I don't know it! :)

I think something's been a little off about Lil' Kim ever since she arrived on the scene back in the day. "Celebrity" seems to exacerbate her emotional issues (as it does most celebrities).

I love Nicki Minaj, but I also really liked Lil' Kim in her day. But, like you said...she's not so popular anymore.

And by "king", I most definitely mean "kind" :)

    Ha. That's king of amusing.

I'm not sure how to write a cat screech, otherwise I would!

Definitely a jealousy issue going on. I love everything about Nicki Minaj and have never been a fan of Lil Kim. I didn't even know Lil Kim was still making music until this feud erupted. LOL!
