Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj Beef -- Who's Really the One on Her "14 Minutes of Fame"?

The Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj beef continues to stew, as reported at Entertainment Weekly. The 25-year-old rapper, with the debut album "Pink Friday," is new on the scene, while the 35-year-old rapper has been around since the 90's. Lil Kim's other name is Queen Bee, but are the drones flocking to a new queen?

In an interview, before Nicki Minaj came out with "Pink Friday," Kim said, "For the last year, she's been subliminally taking shots at me, subliminally taking shots at the other girls in the history." And then when Minaj and Kim met up for a Lil Wayne concert, Kim says she showed Minaj love and that Minaj reciprocated. But according to Kim, Minaj is still dissing. "From that time on, I'm still seeing pebbles thrown my way," said Kim.

The Queen Bee has been around for a long time. But you don't stay on top forever. Has Minaj been dissing Kim or is Kim just jealous that she's not as hot as she used to be, especially after spending time in jail and then going all Hollywood, away from the rap scene, in "Dancing with the Stars?"

On "Black Friday" Kim raps, "You going on your 14th minute of fame. I'm over 10 years strong still running the game." But is she? Is the Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj beef one born of jealously?

Said Minaj,"This is somebody I looked at highly. We took a picture, everything was good. But you wanna know what scares people? Success. When you don't make moves and when you don't climb up the ladder, everybody loves you because you're not competition. When you become competition, then people start. So I felt like, 'You're gonna go down in history now as a sore loser as opposed to going down in history as the Queen. Because if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

Minaj does it with a vengeance, joining forces with Eminem on "Roman's Revenge," taking a clear, unmistakable shot at the Queen:

"So f--k I look like gettin' back to a has-been?
Yeah, I said it, has-been
Hang it up, flatscreen
(Haha) Plasma"

In response, Lil Kim goes full out with her "Black Friday." In addition to taking on rapper Drake, she takes on Minaj:

"Who the f--k want war
FedEx beef straight to your front door
It'll be a murder scene
I'm turning Pink Friday to Friday the 13th
Aight you Lil Kim clone clown
all this buffoonery, the sh-t stops now
time for you to lay down, I'm sick of the fraud

But in the end, should Lil Kim thank Nicki Minaj? How high on the mountain was Kim before the Lil Kim and Nicky Minaj beef?

"The same way she opened doors for me, I'm opening doors for her," said Minaj. "Nobody was playin' your music and you damn sure couldn't get an interview to save your life. You getting interviews, and every time you do interviews they're asking you about Nicki Minaj. So it's like we help each other."
