Lil Rounds Does Karoake During April 7 American Idol Show

Lil Rounds continues to do two things each and every week on American Idol. She shows that she can sing great and also that she has absolutely no originality. It is becoming quite apparent that she is nothing more than a karaoke singer and it is actually a shame.

There is no mistaking that Lil Rounds is a talented singer. The problem on this competition is that they have to make the songs theirs and come up with some type of original arrangement to wow the viewers. She never does this. It was so bad tonight that she actually took to mimicking Tina Turner's mannerisms when she sings. It was the first thing that Simon picked up on when he gave his critique.

Randy also made a great point in that she never seems to listen to the judge's advice. She has been told time and time again to make the songs her own and come up with something that will show her true personality and we have yet to see who Lil Rounds is. I keep tuning in week and week out hoping that she will give people a reason to keep her around, but she disappoints every time.

The one saving grace for Lil Rounds tonight is that Scott MacIntyre was absolutely atrocious. Kris Allen also had a bad performance tonight, but he is way too popular and too talented to have to worry about getting kicked off. I have come to the conclusion that the judges are going to keep their one save until Danny Gokey, Matt Giraud, Adam Lambert or Kris Allen are in danger of getting booted off. Lil will be standing there right next to Scott at the end of the show Wednesday night, but she is going to get one more week to prove that she can do something original. Let's just hope that she uses this opportunity well because it would be a shame to see her go before Anoop.
