Lil Rounds' March 25 Performance was Pretty Good, But...

Lil Round... you go girl! She can definitely sing. However, Lil Rounds definitely has some things to work on.

From the beginning of the song, you can tell she has a great voice. She really puts feeling and enthusiasm into her singing. The notes are struck like the Liberty Bell (before it cracked). Lil' Round has a wonderful voice and a range you could fly a plane through.

The only problem that I could see with her performance was her stage presence. She's there to sing, but to be an Idol, you need to have it all. Otherwise apply down at your local radio station.

Throughout the performance I became fixated on watching her facial expressions. Why? Well because they were kind of distracting. Singing is work, we all know it. Please don't show it. Please don't make those very awkward expressions and contortions. They are not flattering at all and literally took me away from the song. I wanted to find out how many other ways she could make herself look ridiculous.

I absolutely cannot stand it when singers make any kind of weird face. It's understandable if one squeaks through and I am not saying it's a deal breaker, unless you are physically changing the shape of your face to reach notes.

Lil Rounds, you have an absolutely beautiful voice and I applaud you! I hope you go far! Just take this as constructive criticism. Sing your heart out, but don't make it look so hard!
