Controversy has always created news, not necessarily relevant news, but it always tends to hit headlines. When Kanye West declared that President Crook, excuse me President Bush, is a racist it made massive headlines. When Lil Wayne took shots at Hov and claimed that he is better than Jay-Z it made headlines. Controversy, otherwise known in this industry as beef, always sparks the interest of the public. Now if you take these two sets of Controversy and throw them in a blender you get "The Carter 3 album." Ya, you heard me right. The college dropout is scheduled to provide beats for the self proclaimed best rapper alive. Kobe and Shaq dropped the ball in L.A., Melo and A.I. can't seem to mesh in Denver. Can two egos of this stature collabo on CD and make hip hop history?

But moreover, not only is Kanye on this project, but Weez also confirmed other producers would include Timbaland, The Runners, will.i.am, and Scott Storch. Some leaks have been given of who is on the album and those disclosed collaborators would include Twista, Junior Reid and Sizzla. It was also named the "#1 most anticipated album of 2007". But let's not stop there. This album might be the most inticipated album of the 2000's. Before you get too excited, let it be known Lil Wayne has exposed that the development of this project has been deferred due to his focus on two up and coming projects, I Can't Feel My Face with Juelz Santana and Music To Fly To, Curren$y's debut album. Anticipation just builds more hype of this sixth solo project.

I don't know about history, but hot producers on top of fire usually just means it's a bigger blaze. Common sense says there will be some major hits on this album. The Carter 3 will be Dewayne Carters SIXTH studio album. It's obvious that when Anna Nicole Smith's baby daddies hit headlines it is due to controversy. But when major artists and producers hit the studio together we in the industry like to call it a hit. Lil Wayne has been quoted promising that this album is going to be "a classic".

In the March 2007 issue of XXL magazine, Wayne reported that it would be released in the "late second quarter" of 2007, which translates to around June. Look for Weezy's album when it drops in the middle of this year. This album has the opportunity to showcase the talents of the 'Self-proclaimed' best rapper alive. And this might just confirm that. Can you say classic?
