Limerick: Where Do You Dream, Sweet Gabriel Johnson?

Rik Merchant

Where do you dream, sweet Gabriel Johnson-

Who kisses your cheek when the day is done?

How you are yearned for,

Dear babe of folklore.

Tears will dry when you return with the sun.

I really love that last line.

He's not a legend either, Chris. He's a real little baby with real needs that aren't being met. He's with people who don't put his wellbeing first. They could be abusers, pedophiles, who knows what. It's so scary. We have to find him. He deserves to be loved and taken good care of.

You shouldn't be sad, Sylvia- re-read the last line. The verse ends on a very positive note. And also, Gabriel is very much alive but he has a become a legend, a living legend who's famous worldwide.

Folklore? Gabriel Johnson is very much real. A real baby, a real person. Missing and endangered. Why do you want people to think he's not real? That makes me sad.

    Perfect.
