It really is very strange news:
That Sarah's a liberal's muse,
The top one is best,
For the limerick contest,
Now, here are some more... for your boos.

I do not write nailin' and failin'
To make up some rhymes with Palin,
But I want to teach
Her strange mode of speech,
Which leaves English teachers all wailin'.

The Governor's known for her glasses
And withholding abortions from lasses,
And if you are gay,
You must go away,
Unless you are drilling for gases.

Sarah's not sugar and spice,
In fact, she is not even nice,
When she turns her mouth loose,
Like a drunken bull moose,
We'd better keep Sarah on ice.

The Guv'nuh, she's quite a poil,
A lipstick and NRA goil,
Men and dinos, she'll assoit,
Are in the same layer of doit,
But, alas, the men don't turn to oil.

She says she sees Russia from home,
Or is it the city of Nome?
So she's got her a plan
To bomb Ruskie land,
And in Alaska, she'll censor a tome.

I think of our 49th state,
Since I was conceived there, it's great!
But the witch of Wasilla
Is worse than Godzilla,
So, don't let her be our fate!

After two years of political drama,
We all are ready for calm -- ah! --
Even a six-packin' Joe
From the town of Juneau
Might vote for Barack Obama.
