Lina Marulanda, Colombian Model and TV Presenter Commits Suicide
According to a Colombian newspaper account, police reports confirm that Lina Marulanda jumped out of the window of her Bogota, Colombia apartment. According to reports the model, who also works as a television presenter, had recently separated from her second husband, businessman, Carlos Onate. Several accounts say that Marulanda was going through a difficult time and some say that the model was taking antidepressants.

Lina Marulanda was born on May 15, 1980 in Medellin, Colombia. She began modeling at the age of twelve. According to reports, she became one of Colombia's most successful models. She has worked as a television presenter on the Colombian news show, CM&Y Caracol.
It is very sad to hear of the tragic death of someone so young. Marulanda's many fans in Colombia and around the world are grieving the loss of the model.

You are so right Jan. This is such a sad and tragic story. There are not many details available yet (and most of the reports are in Spanish).
No matter how successful or lovely someone is, this article serves as a reminder that no one knows how the person feels inside. I wonder if the separation was particularly hard on her?
