Alfonso Coley
For the period of the past eight years there have been many NFL stadiums that have undergone a mass facelift or either has been demolished only to be replaced by much more family friendly stadiums that cater to the needs of families and visiting NFL fans. The Lincoln Financial Field that hosts the Philadelphia Eagles officially opened its doors in July 23rd 2003, and from day one it was apparent that the city of Philadelphia would enjoy one of the best family friendly stadiums that would reside in the "City of Brotherly Love." Indeed any Philadelphia Eagles fan will say that it was long over due, the previous Veteran Stadium was a crumbling mess - that is now a begotten memory, and Philadelphia Eagles fans are thrilled to enjoy their home games in comfortable seating that won't put a hurtin' on the booty.

The Lincoln Financial Stadium cost 512 million, the seating capacity holds up to 67,594 fans. There is 22,000 square feet of ample parking available for visiting fans, and for the Philadelphia faithful. The stadium is accessible to all form of public transportation - which is in walking distance, and will not take more than ten minutes to arrive at Lincoln Financial Field. The best form of transportation would be the Septa Broad Street Subway Line - which is the hub of the city, and also will take any visitor to the Center City location where many festivities take place.

One of the more entertaining attractions of Lincoln Financial Field is the panoramic view that every football fan will enjoy, and it makes it so much more enjoyable to view the game in its natural setting. The idea to have an open stadium is what football is all about, and that is why the owner Jeffrey Lurie decided that natural grass would be the best alternative in contrast to artificial turf or synthetic materials. Anyone that has visited Lincoln Financial Field will surely attest that it is one of the best stadiums pertaining to how many amenities that is available which make every NFL fan feel welcome and comfortable.

Lincoln Financial Field is handicap friendly - as the stadium contains high tech and assessable outlets that do not make the handicap person feel claustrophobic. The stadium men's bathroom facilities have accommodations 1 for every 58 men.

Another great attribute that NFL fans will enjoy about Lincoln Financial Field are the abundance of concession stands, there are 308 total, enough to feed the hungry 67,549 football fans. The stadium has double the Luxury Suite Seats that Veterans Stadium had, the 3,040 seating capacity is a great addition to the sporting complex -that offer those special clients a sleek way to enjoy the game in a more private setting.

The concession stands offer some of Philly's finest hot dogs, Philly Cheese Steaks, soft pretzels, and a variety of pizzas. In closing, the Lincoln Financial Field Stadium was not built only for the Philadelphia Eagles fans; it was constructed to make any NFL fan feel welcome when they visit the "City of Brotherly Love."
