Lincoln in New Hampshire is One of the Best Ski Towns in the U.S. Because of the Great Loon Mountain
Whether you're going with a group of your closest friends, your family or your significant other, there are many different options for lodging around the whole town. You can go upscale style or motel style. Most people choose to stay in smaller motels, since the amount of time they spend indoors is minimal. However, if you are the type who enjoys sipping on a cup of coffee or hot chocolate around a roaring fire in a clubhouse environment, you'll want to stay in a larger hotel like the Loon Mountain Resort.
Loon Mountain Resort is located at the base of Loon Mountain which is one of the highest mountains in the Lincoln area. This is the most popular mountain for skiing and other winter activities. You can take a gondola ride to the top of the mountain and choose one of a few different trails to take down the mountain. On Sunday's they have a breakfast buffet at the top of the mountain, as well as church services at the edge of the mountain. At the base of the mountain, they have an ice skating rink for those who aren't into the skiing scene.
The rates for Loon Mountain are $73.00 a day for an adult between 19-64 years old, $63.00 for teens between 13 and 18 years old, and $53 for juniors and seniors from ages 6-12 and 65-79 years old.
There are other area attractions to enjoy as well, such as Lincoln Cinemas which offers 4 different hit movies every night. There's also Alpine Adventures Snowmobiling which can be a great deal of fun when you're tried from skiing. For those who can't seem to pull themselves away from the stores for a few days, there are shopping plazas on every corner.
The sights around Lincoln are beautiful, fall, winter, spring and summer. In the wintertime, the snow covered mountains are a sight to see and a sight no one should miss. Besides the mountains themselves, there are many rapid rivers, and streams along the mountains base. It's truly a nature lover's spot, with all of the natural wonders in the world coming together in one town. There's nothing better than the clean, crisp and cold winter air in New Hampshire.
