Lincoln Restaurant on Lincoln Avenue is for Sale

I am still in shock. When my friend told me that my beloved Lincoln Restaurant was for sale, I was skeptical. Although she's a commercial real estate agent, she likes to fool around and tell me that some of my favorite places are for sale. When she swore up and down that this was the real deal, and that the Lincoln Restaurant was indeed up for sale, I got nervous. I took my concerns to Loopnet.com, the Internet's premier real estate website and did a search. Sure enough, it's true. This restaurant brings back so many memories, and it's huge sign depicting Abe Lincoln and the American Flag will be forever etched in my mind.

Sunday brunches were the best. The omelets were amazing, but always too much for me to finish. Another favorite of mine was the skirt steak. It was seasoned with Greek spices, lemon and was so tender. I always had to laugh, though, when I ordered a soft drink, because it always came in a huge mug. Also, who could forget "Banjo Night Mondays?" The crowd was fun too. There were mostly older people and senior citizens there, but it's just your basic family restaurant. Oh Lincoln Restaurant, why must you go? Well, maybe the new owner might leave it like it is and not change the concept nor the landscape, but I do wish the owners of the Lincoln Restaurant good luck, as I do the new owners.
