Linda a Walking and Breathing Angel

I have also had my share of real life angels, those people that touch our lives, pick us up, and help us with out of the good ness of their hearts. These ones have an open door onto heaven. The kindness they show to others is the open door without a doubt.

Linda Corell, is one of those Angels among us and she is not the everyday person she assumes she is. At one of the lowest days in my entire life, Linda picked me up on her bus route and made me realize that world is full of angels in disguise.

The day I met Linda I looked like a bum, and I would not have given me a ride, but Linda did. I had just turned my back on my marriage of 19 years. I had fainted just 20 minutes prior to getting on her bus, so I was pale in color. My husband and his girlfriend had admitted their love to me in a rather unpleasant way. My world was in utter chaos.

Linda was a public bus driver and on that particular day, she was transporting several mentally challenged adults home after their day. Linda could tell I was in a bad way and perhaps that is why she allowed me on the bus.

After she had dropped off all of her passengers but me, she pulled over in a parking lot turned off the bus and sat down across from me. She asked if she could pray with me and I said yes and she began praying aloud for God's help for me.

We both bowed our heads, and I felt peace come over me as she prayed for me. With the prayer finished, she asked me what was wrong, so I briefly told her and it felt so good to share it. Tears were shared from both of us and it felt good to talk to an impartial person. Linda brought me home that day even though I was well out of her scheduled route.

That is a day I will never forget for two reasons, Linda's unselfishness and the bare facts of my marriage irrevocability broken are the reasons. As the time goes on, I see it was her love for the lord that got me thought that day God listened to hear prayers that day and he helped me. She helped me by asking for his help when I could not. For that, she will forever hold a place in my heart.

Yes human angels my come into our lives and go away just as fast but do they really know just how much they affect us? What Linda did that day will forever be in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. God gave me strength to go on with life and the words came straight from Linda's mouth and heart.

Angels no matter if they are living and breathing or just decorative they bring joy and hope into our lives just when we need it the most. I have lost contact with Linda, but I am still living in the house where she dropped me off, and I hope that one day she will drop by.
