Lindsay Lohan Adds 'Theft' to Her Resume?

Lindsay Lohan's theft allegations put her in danger of probation violation, as reported at CBS. The LAPD has contacted Lohan's probation officer regarding a necklace that various reports are placing at $2,500 and $5,000. As reported at TMZ, Lohan is "the sole target of a grand theft investigation involving a necklace taken from a Venice, CA jewelry store."

LA police received a search warrant to search Lindsay's home. However, right after, someone returned the necklace on Lohan's behalf. What is further damaging to Lohan is that police allegedly have a video in their possession that shows Lohan wearing the necklace.

After Lohan completed her 90 days at Betty Ford, she checked out and found a new apartment in Venice, California. Many folks felt she was stalking her ex-lover, but at least she was moving on with her life.

Her slate wasn't totally clean. While in rehab, she reportedly got into a scuffle with an employee that could have put her back in jail. Now we have Lindsay Lohan's theft allegations for a piece of jewelry that is expensive enough to make the allegations a felony. Lohan is scheduled for court on February 25.

It's the latest in a series of events for the troubled actress. If Lohan didn't steal the necklace, why return it?

Judge Elden Fox warned Lohan she would visit a jail cell for six months if she continued to get into trouble. We know that such warnings haven't meant much for Lohan. But the more she tempts fate, the greater the likelihood is that prison will become a real reality. Celebrities seem to get advantages, when it comes to the law, that ordinary people don't. But as Lohan continues to lose her stardom, she gets closer to life with the rest of us.
