Lindsay Lohan Arrest Warrant Issued; Bail $100,000 for Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan was a no-show in LA court on Thursday and is now on the lam from the law. An arrest warrant has been issued, according to Us Magazine.

Lindsay Lohan's excuse for not making her court date in Los Angeles, California on Thursday of this week was that she had lost her passport, according to Us Magazine. The troubled star, aged 23, was due before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel regarding prior charges.

Lindsay's absence in court prompted the judge to issue a bench warrant for her immediate arrest upon returning to California from Cannes. In addition, if bail is permitted, it was set for $100,000.

Probation Violation by Lindsay Lohan Could Result in Jail Time

Judge Revel stated that Lindsay might be in violation of her probation and will be scheduling a formal hearing to review the circumstances surrounding Lohan's inability to leave Cannes and return for her court-appointed date and time.

California Superior Court judges aren't known for their laxity to celebrities who want to flaunt a total disregard for the law. Other fleeing criminals (think Roman Polanski) have not fared well with fleeing the scene of their crimes and thumbing their noses at law enforcement and the judicial system in America. Lindsay Lohan will be no exception, I am sure.

Lindsay might not have been present in court on Thursday in LA but her father Michael was, with his lawyer Lisa Bloom in tow. Michael asked the judge not to send Lindsay to jail (although he was advised that's exactly where she needs to go by Dr. Drew). Instead, Lindsay Lohan's father asked the judge to get his daughter the help she needs.

Michael Lohan's anticipated court presence may have prompted the 23-year-old aging starlet to skip out on the Thursday court date in the first place, if truth were known. However, playing games with the court--like she does her parents--has consequences that Lindsay Lohan may regret bringing on herself in the end.

Will Judge Marsha Revel throw the book at Lindsay Lohan when the star returns from her Cannes Film Festival trip? Will Lindsay have the money to even make bail? And what will Lindsay do if she is required to wear the SCRAM bracelet, abstain from alcohol and get random drug testing every week? Can the star go a week without her fixes?

If Lindsay Lohan has been telling the truth about a lack of drug use it will be a breeze to get random drug tests and pass them with flying colors. If she isn't an alcoholic the same will be true about wearing the SCRAM bracelet. But if Lindsay Lohan is as addicted as her father Michael Lohan and most of the country now believe, she is in for a rough ride when she gets back into LA. But it might just save the young girl's life.
