Lindsay Lohan Doing Well in Jail and Receiving Visitors

TMZ is reporting a source inside the Century Regional Detention Center is saying actress Lindsay Lohan has been doing well and is keeping to herself for the most part.

The source said Tuesday was a hard day for Lohan, but by Wednesday she had made herself comfortable and was sleeping a lot. The source said Lohan doesn't have much to do in her cell and the jail is trying to get a copy of The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway for her from Barnes & Noble before Friday.

The source said they work at the Detention Center and they spent most of the day Tuesday and Wednesday with Lindsay Lohan helping her to get comfortable. The source said, "She's not a mess at all. She's keeping to herself, better than yesterday and handling it pretty good."

But Lindsay also has had a host of company visiting her since turning herself in to officials Tuesday morning. Tuesday afternoon she was visited by attorney Shawn Chapman-Holley, who reportedly came back as Lindsay Lohan's attorney after Robert Shapiro quit three days after taking over for Chapman-Holley.

Wednesday afternoon saw Lindsay's mother Dina Lohan and sister Ali Lohan visiting her in jail. The pair went into the Detention Center for almost an hour and left without speaking to the throng of reporters and paparazzi camped outside the facility. Officials wouldn't comment if her mother and sister were able to speak to Lohan.

Family and friend visits are usually reserved for Saturdays and Sundays, but the Sheriff's office can make exceptions if they feel the visitors will benefit the inmates mental health or help with any safety and security concerns.

Thursday afternoon Lindsay was visited by ex-girlfriend DJ Samantha Ronson, who reached out to try and help Lindsay in the days leading up to her incarceration. She also took to her Twitter account to defend Lindsay against comments from Comedian Joan Rivers.

Ronson reportedly visited Lohan for an hour and encountered the same throng of reporters as she left. Sam was apparently not in the mood to speak to reporters as she left and got angry with a reporter who asked how Lindsay was doing by saying, "How do you think she's doing?"

Sam later Tweeted : "Song Of The Day: Rolling Stones - Waiting on A Friend."
