Lindsay Lohan Dropped from Film

To cap off Lindsay Lohan's already miserable week, TMZ is reporting that Lindsay was dropped from a film she was scheduled to be in. Apparently, those financing the film had their doubts about Lindsay's bank-ability and reliability, so she was cut.

The film, The Other Side, is also going to star Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette. Not exactly a stellar cast if you ask me, but for Lindsay, this must be a blow. Since it is also being reported that she is in serious financial straits due to maxed out credit cards that she cannot pay. Any money for Lindsay, at this point, would have been good money.

Earlier this week, Lindsay's father, Michael Lohan, staged a pseudo-intervention complete with a police escort, when he showed up at Lindsay's apartment to 'check on the well-being of his youngest daughter, 16 year old Ali.' Who, according to Mr. Lohan, is being negatively influenced by her older sister, Lindsay.

It seems Mr. Lohan didn't like the fact that his 16 year old daughter had attended the recent California music festival, Coachella, where there was open drinking and pot smoking among those attending. Can't imagine why. Can you?

To make this situation even more bizarre, while the police and Mr. Lohan were at Lindsay's apartment, Lindsay was tweeting like mad in what read like a desperate S.O.S......

"OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I have no choice but to make this public due to my sister's safety as well as my own, "my ex-dad" just WALKED INTO MY APT like the devil's advocate with officers"

"My lawyer isn't answering. I NEED A RESTRAINING ORDER! MY SISTER AND FRIEND TOO!!!! HE'S NUTS!!!"

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm still trying to figure out how your dad becomes an "ex-dad." But then, we are talking about the Lohans.

In addition to Lindsay needing a restraining order, it appears that she may need a defense attorney too. She is also being accused of stealing a friend's $35,000 dollar Rolex watch. Lindsay claims, however, that the watch was left at her apartment and never picked up by the friend.

Unfortunately, though, Lindsay has been accused of theft before. In 2008, she was photographed wearing a mink coat that, according to the owner, was taken from a coat room at a party. In 2009, Lindsay was accused of taking $45,000 dollars worth of jewelry from an Elle Magazine photo shoot, though Lindsay's reps claim it was all just a big misunderstanding.

If you have a hard time believing that one, well, you're not alone. The executives for Louis Vuitton have black-listed Lindsay because they say she has walked off with goods from their fashion shoots as well.

One has to wonder how much longer the Lohan family and particularly, Lindsay can carry on this way. Sooner or later something has to give and I would expect it's going to be Lindsay's mental and physical health.

Sadly, she is certainly not the first Hollywood ingénue that has burned bright and hot and then come crashing to the ground. Hollywood has a way of eating its own. Many talented, but equally fragile young actors and actresses have gone the way of unbridled excess and entitlement and in the process have been swallowed whole.

Let's hope that Lindsay Lohan can pull a Drew Barrymore and get herself clean and her life back on track before she becomes another River Phoenix that is scraped off the sidewalk instead.
