Lindsay Lohan and Drugs; Is the California Legal System a Joke?

Lindsay Lohan remains free until her court date on Friday. Has the California legal system failed the actress?
When Lindsay Lohan was allowed to leave jail after serving only 23 days of her 90 day sentence, we all saw trouble ahead. We wondered why the California legal system would let the actress out so early, especially since, at this point, only Dina Lohan is blind enough not to see that Lindsay Lohan is in trouble. Lohan's mother, on Today, complained about Judge Marsha Revel, who handled Lindsay's case originally, and she insisted her daughter does not have a problem.
The actress has tested positive for cocaine and for amphetamines. As reported at TMZ, the nature of the amphetamines cannot be divulged, but Adderall, one of the prescription drugs that Michael Lohan has insisted his daughter is hooked on, is an amphetamine.
Lindsay Lohan could spend 30 days in jail, but how much time will she really get?
Lindsay Lohan and her drug use contributed to her jail time before, but with her back abusing drugs, where was the deterrent? Are the psychotherapy sessions and the 12 step meetings that she is required to attend working? Another quit session in jail, followed by another quit session in rehab probably won't do it. Should Lindsay Lohan be placed in rehab for a sufficient amount of time, like 90 days, and then go away for a while so that she can focus on getting herself together? Speeding around in her Maserati on the Hollywood streets is a recipe for her disaster.

Post a CommentI say, lock her up and toss the key until she's clean and learned her lesson. She has HUGE problems and threats don't help her.
Good point, Lisa. I feel sad about Lindsay. I don't want her to end up like a Brittney Murphy, a Anna Nicole Smith or a Heath Ledger. All of these people were abusing prescription drugs.
Amidst all the hype, I feel sad for Lindsay. We were just watching one of her old movies the other day when she was still young and "innocent". She seemed so full of life! In a way I feel that our country, its legal system and the fact that celebrities seem to get special passes on legal issues have really all failed Lindsay. Are we a society set on creating more Lindsays and Britneys? Hmm... maybe you could do an article on that?
