Lindsay Lohan Gets Naked in New York Magazine

Lindsay Lohan becomes a nude Marilyn Monroe for New York Magazine's photo shoot titled "The Last Sitting."

In the photos, Lindsay is wearing a blonde wig that resembles Marilyn Monroe's hairstyle of the time. She is also topless in all of the controversial pictures.

Marilyn Monroe did a shoot called "The Last Sitting" in 1962. This shoot was for Vogue Magazine, weeks before she died. The photos are said to be the best quality and most famous photos ever of Marilyn.

Bert Stern was the photographer on Monroe's shoot, and he is also the photographer during Lohan's shooting. Stern copies the original poses, lighting, and clothing in the new shoot. "It was very similar, déjà vu you might say, like revisiting an old street," Stern said in New York Magazine. He also said that this photo shoot came about because of his interest in controversial women and bad girls.

Like already stated, Lindsay Lohan totally re-creates Marilyn Monroe in the photos. For instance, Marilyn wore a striped scarf in a few of her photos. In Lohan's shoot, she also wears a striped scarf. In another comparison, Marilyn is laying on her stomach, naked, on a bed. Lindsay Lohan also lays naked across a bed in a few of her photos.

Lindsay Lohan has been a longtime fan of Marilyn Monroe. She purchased one of Marilyn Monroe's apartments awhile back. Lohan told New York Magazine, "If you saw my house, I have a lot of Marilyn stuff, including a huge painting of Monroe." When asked why she agreed to do this photo shoot, she answered, "I didn't have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It's really an honor."

This remake of Marilyn Monroe's "The Last Sitting" is a little bit stunning. Just like with Marilyn, Lindsay's problems seem to be covered up her sex appeal and such. Lindsay looks nothing like Marilyn Monroe in this photo shoot, but what's troubling to me is that Marilyn died six weeks after her "Last Sitting" photo shoot. So, could the same thing happen to Lindsay? I mean, it's no secret that Lindsay has drug problems as well. Should this photo shoot serve as a wake-up call for her?
