Lindsay Lohan Goes Off About Jail Sentence on Twitter Calling it "Perverted"
...And Michael Lohan Swears on Live TV
Lindsay went on to tweet, "It is clearly stated in Article 5 of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights that ... 'No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment."
Just a few moments after she sent that tweet out on Twitter she posted again, this time quoting an Erik Luna article, saying, "November 1 marked the 15th anniversary of the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines. But there were no ... celebrations, parades, or other festivities in honor of this punishment scheme created by Congress and the US Sentencing Commission....Instead, the day passed like most others during the last 15 years: Scores of federal defendants sentenced under a constitutionally perverted' ... system that saps moral judgment through its mechanical rules."
She also managed to confuse fans and the media by posting several times about the case of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, an Iranian woman sentenced to death this weekend by stoning for committing adultery. This led many on Twitter to question whether Lindsay was comparing herself to the woman or was trying to be a martyr.
Lohan hasn't had a great last couple of days since she made a tearful plea to the Judge in her case asking not to be sentenced to jail for probation violations stemming from a 2007 arrest for drugs and drunk driving. Lindsay was spotted in pictures blown up and spread all over the Internet with the words, F**k U in black lettering on her middle finger nails. She raised her hands several times in the Judges direction leading many to believe the message was for her.
She also reportedly stormed out of the court house after her sentencing and was overheard several times calling the Judge a "F**king B*tch" on her way to her car with her attorney.
Lindsay used Twitter to defend herself later that night saying the words were a joke, and she used a stencil to write it on her middle fingers.
Lindsay has to surrender on July 20th at 8:30AM to begin her prison sentence. While many experts, and Lindsay's family, are calling the sentence harsh, the Judge is hoping time in jail will be a serious wake-up call for the actress and encourage her to complete the mandatory 90 day in-patient rehab treatment after her release. Based on her performance in jail Lohan could be out in 60 days.
Adding to her personal problems her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley resigned as her lawyer Thursday and replaced herself with Tiffany Feder-Cohen.
And if her life wasn't a messy drama already, Lindsay had to deal with the backlash after her estranged father Michael Lohan dropped the F-bomb on FOX NEWS while on live TV.
While being interviewed by Shepard Smith on his "Studio B" show, Michael Lohan said "f**k" live on air after Smith asked him why he was trying to get on as many television shows as possible, and partying until the early morning hours on the night his daughter had been sentenced to jail.
Shepard Smith started the line of questioning with, "I don't think a lot of parents understand the way you conduct yourself. I think a lot of people are probably saying, you know, if you'd done half this much to try to help your daughter..." to which Lohan shot back, "Are you kidding me? Give me a break. You have no right saying that. Don't tell me how much time I spend helping my daughter or going out to eat dinner, or how much time I spend in the f**king gym."
Michael Lohan made it a point several times throughout the day after Lindsay's sentence to tell everyone he was in the courtroom with his daughter and not his estranged wife Dina Lohan who was watching the proceedings at home on TV with her family.
