Lindsay Lohan Leads in Razzie Nominations

Paging Lindsay Lohan: Stop making movies!

Since her cult hit Mean Girls, Ms. Lohan has had one devil of a time scoring a leading role people actually flocked to the movies to see. Her most recent flop, I Know Who Killed Me was slated to be a huge comeback for the troubled star, but much like Britney Spears at the VMA's, Lindsey's performance fell flat.

The movie scored an impressive nine Razzie nominations, and if there is any justice in life, it will sweep all nine.

Reminiscent of her role in Disney's The Parent Trap Lindsey takes on a dual role (Or does she?) playing twins in this semi-thriller. For playing the dual title characters, Lohan earned herself a double nomination within the same category, worst actress. The movie was made outto be a sexy thriller, but for those who weren't watching solely for Lindsey's role as a stripper, the movie was far from thrilling. Lacking in plot and sincerity, I Know Who Killed Me is a good bet for sweeping the Razzies.

Also earning an impressive number of nods is Eddie Murphy in Norbit. And we thought denying his child was the tackiest thing Murphy did in 2007. Not only is Murphy nominated for worst actor in a title role, but his multiple characters, much like Lohan's, earned him multiple nominations, including worst supporting actress, actor, and screen couple, citing his past works (also like Lohan) as large, "funny" people.

Perhaps unduly nominated was Adam Sandler's latest comedic venture, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Sandler, who is best known for his roles in Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and The Waterboy, scored a nomination for his movie where two of New York's finest pretend to be a gay couple in order to receive domestic partner benefits. Luckily, the one performance truly deserving of a Razzie was filled by Jessica Biel, who was also nominated for the movie Next. Haven't heard of it? It's okay, neither have I.

Noticeably absent from the Razzie nominations is Jessica Simpson. Her almost straight to DVD movie Blonde Ambition was completely ignored! The real tragedy? Luke Wilson co-starring in this box-office flop. Where was brother Owen to guide Luke away from the big bosomed blonde disaster?

Per category, the nominees:

Worst Picture: Daddy Day Camp, Bratz, I Know Who Killed Me, Norbit, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

Worst Actress: Lindsey Lohan (double noms I Know Who Killed Me) Elisha Cuthbert (Captivity) Jessica Alba (Awake, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Good Luck Chuck.) Diane Keaton (Because I Said So) and all four ladies from the movie Bratz.

Worst Actor: Nicholas Cage (Ghost Rider) Eddie Murphy (Norbit) Cuba Gooding Jr. (Daddy Day Camp) Adam Sandler (I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry) and Jim Carrey (The Number 23)

I think the movie was jinxed to begin with. She has done a lot of wrong and the press behind it killed any motivation to see her. She beat out Showgirls (that was on the Razzie list previously) and I thought that movie was good! I guess the movies that make the Razzi list are subjective, but I still loved that movie. I don't even look out for Lohan's moview anymore and thats too bad because I see the potential in her.

Lohan wasn't horrible in the latest Herbie movie, but I tend to avoid her movies. Herbie was an exception for me - but only because it was Herbie.

I loved her in "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday," but she definitely killed her career with all her bad press and antics.
