Lindsay Lohan "Lo" on Self Esteem

Everyone remembers Lindsay Lohan as the little sweet innocent girl who became extremely famous after staring in "the Parent Trap, a Disney movie. Yes, she was indeed another person who gained their celebrity status at an earlier age from Disney. You think Lindsday Lohan and what do you imagine? A little orange head girl with freckles. Well, all that has sadly changed. Will Lohan be the next A list celebrity to tumble due to drugs and alcohol? Is her fate similar to that of Anna Nicole. All we can do is pray that addiction will not ruin another young girl.

And just when we thought Lohan was recovering! Lindsay Lohan had nearly just got out of rehab. In fact, she had earlier this month after being involved in the program for over six weeks. She even volunteered to wear a device around her ankle to prove that she was not consuming alcohol anymore since her DUI allegations connected to a Memorial Day crash in Beverly Hills that was hit-and-run. Lohan claimed that she had learned her lesson and now would be alcohol and drug free, going out to local clubs drinking just water. It sounded convincing for the short time it lasted!

But now, Lohan, who just turned 21 even has her estranged father quite nervous. This Tuesday, July 24, 2007, Lohan was arrested in Santa Monica for driving under the influence and with a suspended license. She even was in the possession of the drug known as cocaine. So now she has a felony and was released on bond. This all stemmed from a 911 call that police received from the mother of Lohan's former personal assistant, whom said that Lohan was chasing her in an SUV.

So, where is Lohan off to now? Well apparently she has relapsed and is back in medical care for her addiction. Is she going to the same place for treatment? It is still to early for anyone to know. Her attorney, Blair Berk, said she was at an "undisclosed location".

Will Lohan go in the same path as celebrities such as River Phoenix, Drew Barrymore, Corey Feldman, Anissa Jones, Danny Bonaduce, Macaulay Culkin? Will she die before adulthood? There is certainly more help out there than there was in the past. She has everything going for her.

Despite her drug addiction and latest struggle, she is still set to be apart of the film "Dare to Love me." This film will being shooting this summer. Maybe the commitment to this film will give Lohan less time to focus on drugs.

This world does not need to see another young celebrity go down to drugs. Celebrities, especially originating from a children's company like Disney, need to be role models for young kids of the future. Are actors - actresses getting addicted to drugs really setting the right example? Good Bless Lindsay in her struggle to overcome such a sad addiction for such a talented actress who is bound to have so much ahead of her if drugs do not stand in her way.
