Lindsay Lohan Off (Some) Legal Meds Cold Turkey

America's favorite troubled youth is making headlines all over with her jail sentence looming in the near distant future. While Lohan is more accustomed to receiving publicity for being a trainwreck, this time the young actress is doing something good for herself by deciding to cut down her intake of legal prescription drugs.

TMZ reports that the courts have allowed Lohan to continue taking certain drugs because they were legally prescribed to her. These medications include Zoloft, Trazadone, Adderal, Nexium, and Dilaudid. Zoloft and Trazadone are both anti-depressants while Nexium is for acid reflux. A source close to Lohan now says that the celebrity has cut down to taking only two medications, Adderal and Nexium.

The Dilaudid is a painkiller that was prescribed to Lohan after she underwent oral surgery in June, however sources claim that the actress has not taken this prescription in weeks,

Lohan, who started out as a child star in Disney's remake of The Parent Trap, has had a rocky couple of years. With her last move, I Know Who Killed Me, only bringing in 7.5 million a the box office, publicized family problems, and several stints in rehab, the starlet has maintained her fame by means of self-destruction.

On July 6, 2010 Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to a total 90 days in jail for violating probation for one count of driving recklessly and two counts of driving under the influence. In addition, Lohan will be A shocked Lohan burst into tears in the court room, but that was not enough for Judge Marsha Revel, who claimed Lohan had been making a mockery out of the legal system since her troubles began.

Lohan was also originally sentenced to 90 days in drug rehab program after serving her sentence, however there is a program for L.A. County inmates which would combine the two. Furthermore, Los Angeles Sheriff's spokeperson, Steve Whitmore, explained that generally a female inmate in Lindsay's situation generally only serves about 25 percent of their court sentence.

Lohan is expected to surrender in Judge Revels court on July 20.
