Lindsay Lohan Poses Nude for Maryln Monroe Tribute

Lindsay Lohan, the actress from Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and Herbie Fully Loaded, has been in the news a lot recently. Lohan recently left a rehab center in Utah, after completely the course to get clean. Lohan decided that she needed to revive her tarnished image. So she posed nude in a Marlyn Monroe tribute, for the spring issue of New York Magazine. That's logical right? Your image is questionable, so to help it out you do anything questionable thing like posing nude. It might not be logical to us, but to a celebrity this can be completely logical.

According to Daily India, when it came to being nude, Lohan said she "was comfortable with it." Lohan posed for renowned photographer Bert Stern. Stern actually shot Monroe for a similar shoot, six weeks before Monroe died. Stern recreated the legendary actresses final photo shoot from 1962. Lohan even looked strangely similar to Monroe in the pictures because she is wearing a blonde wig. They show Lohan posed nude along with accessories of scarves and jewelry.

As someone who has previously worked with at risk youth, I think Lohan is very troubled. Lohan posing nude in the New York Magazine is an attention getting behavior. People with low self esteem, use attention getting behaviors to get other peoples approval. Lohan trying to repair her tarnished image, by posing nude in a magazine is not a logical behavior. But it is typical behavior by people who are not completely stable.

Lohan talked about the similarities between Marlyn Monroe's death and the recent death of Heath Ledger, they both died from accidental overdose of prescription medicines. Right after Ledgers death there were rumors that Lohan had been taking some of the same prescription drugs. That could have been a scary comparison for her. Lindsay Lohan commented "They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone,". It makes you wonder if she is including herself in that. She might be looking at what the industry has done to her, and hoping that she can overcome that.

Although it is a strange form of therapy. Lets hope this acts as a form of therapy for the young actress. Hopefully for Lohan this will somehow revive her tarnished image. The best scenario for her, would be for her to become the well loved actress that she was not to long ago when she was starring in movies like Mean girls, and Herbie Fully Loaded.
