Lindsay Lohan and Rehab -- Troubled Actress Ditches Shopping Bags and Bar Stools for a Chance to Save Her Career and Her Life

Lindsay Makes a Wise Choice

Lindsay Lohan is in rehab. The 24-year-old actress is a patient at the famous Betty Ford Center. As reported at TMZ, the actress will remain at the center until her probation violation hearing on October 22. Lohan recently posted $300,000 bail to be released from jail for testing positive for drugs in violation of her probation.

Lindsay Lohan is in rehab, but she's been there before. Will it work this time?

Danny Bonaduce claims rehab has a 96 percent failure rate. Lindsay Lohan has a history of going in and out of quality rehab centers, but none of the treatment has stuck. How will this be any different?

As reported at Got Therapy, "The overall success of drug rehab depends not only on choosing the right program but also on the individual's desire to kick the habit as well as the ongoing support of family and friends." Lindsay seems to have the desire to make it right this time. But does she have the support of family and friends?

Michael Lohan is not in denial about Lindsay's problem and is probably very happy that Lindsay is back in rehab. Her mother, on the other hand, has been in deep denial. In addition, friends who enable Lindsay by visiting bars and night clubs with her or unscrupulous doctors who continue to give her dangerous pain killers, are also of no help.

"People just need to leave her alone and let her do her thing," says Charlie Sheen. "And, you know, at the end of the day she'll win." Is Charlie right? Many celebrities have been treated at Betty Ford Center, and some of them successfully. Anna Nicole Smith didn't succeed, and it's probably still touch and go for David Hasselhoff, but Keith Urban appears to be fine.

If Lindsay Lohan in rehab succeeds, she has a long and good life to look forward to

At only 24, Lindsay Lohan has plenty of room to make it work. If she goes away for a while, even if it means jail after rehab, she can work on herself and truly heal. There would be nothing better for fans of the actress to see her turn it around. Train wrecks may make the headlines, but they aren't fun to watch, especially to young actresses who have everything going for them. We want Lindsay well.

She wasn't bad in Machete, I am hoping she can save herself from completely ruining her career, or worse- killing herself
