Lindsay Lohan to Be Released from Jail Just in Time for Last Call?
Out of Jail and Back to Abusing?
Is the California legal system a joke?
Do you understand the California legal system? If the answer is no, you're probably not alone. Fox's ruling surprised everyone. And now, we find out that it was against California law, so much so that the ruling was thrown out. Lindsay's case is a misdemeanor, and therefore, she is entitled to bail, which Supervising Judge Patricia Schnegg, who threw out Fox's ruling, has set at $300,000.
According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan will be released from jail and have to wear a SCRAM bracelet. (Where have we heard that one before?) She will also have to stay out of nightclubs. (Again, where have we heard that one before?)
After using her get out of jail free card, plus $300,000, Lindsay needs to go directly to rehab
The California legal system may be a joke, but what is happening to Lindsay isn't. If Lindsay Lohan is to be released from jail, her condition needs to be taken seriously. She looked healthy as she walked into court wearing pieces from her designer line 6126, but is she?
She admitted on her Twitter page that she has a problem, "Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps." Soon she'll be out of jail and back on the streets. This isn't safe for Lindsay or for an innocent bystander. (Did she in fact hit the baby stroller? )
Lindsay Lohan will be released from jail, but if she is still abusing substances, she needs an intervention immediately. Otherwise, none of us will be surprised if her fate matches the fate of far too many other celebrities. It happened to Heath Ledger. It happened to Michael Jackson. We don't want it to happen to Lindsay Lohan.

Post a CommentJail isn't the place for addicts, but neither is the driver's seat. I think that rehab has recidivism because most insurances won't pay for the length of stay required.
I agree that we don't want her going the way of Michael Jackson or Heath Ledger. Lindsay seems deeply troubled and should work on her mental health before she hurts herself further...or others.
Also, if you see Lohan coming toward you in her fancy car, get out of the way. Lohan has admitted she has a problem.
He's (Judge Fox) just one example of the wacky and wonderful California justice system. There's also a "celebrity justice system" that comes into play. In any case, Lohan's lawyer is excellent. Every day Joe's and Jane's can't afford excellent lawyers who know how to work the system. Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan can.
I'm not sure this course of events makes CA's legal system "a joke." If Judge Fox doesn't even know the basic code about misdemeanors, maybe she's the joke...unless, of course, she did this to make a point to poor, silly Lindsay, knowing she'd be reversed, but that LL would spend a few more hours in a decidedly non-stylish locale.
