Lindsay Lohan Scheduled in Court Today

Lindsay Will Appear Before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge to Decide Her Fate

Whether Lindsay Lohan has begun real steps toward rehabilitation and sobriety since she has been at the Betty Ford Clinic is anybody's guess. At least, for those of us who are on the outside, looking in. However, one thing is for certain and it is very telling, to say the very least: Lindsay Lohan news has been non-existent she has been in the center.

In fact, the contrast has been rather startling. When Lindsay Lohan is not in lock down in a prison cell or in rehab, the gossip rags and news outlets are on a continual hum with her antics. Running over babies in strollers without stopping, Twitter-fighting with her father (oy), court dates, falling off the wagon, Tittering about it, traffic stops for running over paparazzi, more Twitter-fighting with her father, more court dates and so on and so on.

Since Lindsay has been in Betty Ford - you can hear the crickets chirp. I don't know about you, but, I find that remarkably telling of the girl's need to remain in Betty Ford, for at least 90 more days. At least mother's can walk their children, police officers can deal with other issues and her father, well, he can hold press conferences to tell the press he will no longer be speaking about his daughter in the press. Yeah, you read that right.

As the sun rises over Los Angeles today, the word is that Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to go before an L.A. Superior Court Judge who will decide Lindsay's fate. She could either be sentenced to more jail time for her prior violations (just fill in the blank, you'll probably be correct) or sent back to Betty Ford.

As one would expect, Team Lindsay is hoping she will go back to rehab. If anyone asks me (and yeah, I know they're not) I would say send her back to rehab too. Send her back and make her stay twice as long as she thinks she should stay. Maybe even three times as long. In fact, maybe this judge will sock it to her the way Robert Downey, Jr.'s judge did, back in 2001. He spent an entire year behind bars for his deep troubles and it worked. He has been clean and sober ever since and has said publicly, many times, it was what he needed.

Addiction is not broken in 30 days. Frankly, it's not broken in 60. 90 days, 120 days - these should be the minimum that someone like Lindsay Lohan should have to face. 6 months to a year in rehabilitation should be mandatory. At least then she stands a chance and mothers can walk their babies in strollers again.

Oh gosh I think she needs psychological help. Poor thing!

I wonder who really is interested in whether she goes to jail or court anymore. Great writeup for those who are still LL fanatics.
