Was Lindsay Lohan's Twitter confession a sign she is growing up and accepting responsibility for her actions?
A large part of growing up is learning to accept your mistakes. Lindsay Lohan tweeted, "Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result." The last time she appeared in court, Lindsay Lohan had a special, profane message written on her fingernail, so chances that she grew up in the space of a month are not looking probable.
Or is Lindsay Lohan's Twitter confession more for damage control?
Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to trouble or failed drug tests. Her most recent stint in rehab lasted only a few weeks. According to a recent article by US magazine, Lindsay Lohan was spotted at a night club on September 11, just weeks after her release from a short stay in rehab, proving that the actress was not winning the battle for sobriety.
Considering that US Magazine article ran on September 15 and Lindsay Lohan's Twitter Confession came on September 17, it's possible that LiLo wanted to do a little damage control with her fans and reach out to them by tweeting, "Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps". To reassure her fan base that she's trying hard to get and stay sober, she also tweeted, "I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future."
Fans can hope that Lindsay Lohan was sincere in admitting her failures and struggles with drug addiction and that she's finally hit rock bottom and is willing to do what it takes to get clean and sober.

While the rest of us are struggling to keep food in our mouths and roofs over our heads, this birdbrain who has been handed every opportunity in the world on a silver platter is shoving cocaine up her nose and plowing into baby carriages. They admitted that the second drug was amphetamines. I have said and still say she has a problem with street meth. She looks like a meth head and acts like one. So, I'm waiting to see what the outcome is going to be on that. Up until this latest cocaine revelation, they've been trying to make it like she's only addicted to prescription drugs - public relations stuff, no doubt, as you've astutely pointed out in this article.
I'm really conserned about her.

as far as lindsey goes take it from someone who has been through rehab three times in his life, it is not a disease it is a choice, and all the she is doing right now is useing what she has learned from treatment to make herself look like shes trying, by falling back and quoting the AA/NA big book and claiming it is a disease.
the truth of the matter is she's a spolied child who need's to be forced to face the full consequences of her actions which has yet to happen.
the day the judge sticks to his guns and makes her pay the full penalty for her behavior's reality might sit in. but as useual since she has money and is a public figure that will probably never be the case.
all of you people need to quit making excuses for her and maybe she will start making some right choices.
I think she is a girl caught between parental denial, a party lifestyle and the need for change. In short, she's between a rock and a hard place. The tweets do show quite a bit of growth.
This girl is never going to be a big time actress again if she keeps ruining her life this way. Soon the public will get tired of the little girl crap she plays around with.
