Lindsay Lohan: Two Failed Drug Tests Send Actress to AA Meetings

What do you do if you fail two mandatory drug tests and face 30 days in jail? If you are Lindsay Lohan, you immediately attend AA meetings.

Said to be in a panic over testing positive for cocaine, mere weeks after she was released from jail and court mandated rehab, Lindsay Lohan hot-footed right on over to AA meetings. She is also said to be committing to daily drug tests.

You will recall that the medical team at UCLA, where Lindsay was admitted for her mandatory drug rehab stay, announced that Lindsay did not show any signs of drug addiction or alcohol abuse and they felt that Judge Marsha Revel has simply "over-reacted" to Lindsay's seeming drug and alcohol issues.

"Lindsay suffers from a personality disorder" said the fine physicians of UCLA, "which is common for those growing up in Hollywood." You can't make this stuff up, people.

Furthermore, the highly qualified staff at UCLA said that Lindsay Lohan had been weaned off all her "meds", which included Dilaudid, (a narcotic, known to be stronger than morphine, by the way) Ambien, Adderall, Zoloft, Trazodone and Nexium, and did not show any signs of withdrawal. Therefore, the doctors recommended her early release.

Based on the assessment of the medical team, Lindsay Lohan was released from UCLA on August 24, 2010. Approximately 3 weeks later, Lindsay Lohan tested positive for cocaine use.

Lindsay Lohan Thinks Drugs Have Ruined Her Career

Friends of Lindsay Lohan say the actress is terrified that she has completely destroyed her career with her drug and alcohol abuse. Fearing, that if the judge she faces will not allow her to travel, it will jeopardize a new film she is set to begin working on in Louisiana.

Producers of her new film are said to be "beyond irritated by the recent developments" and doubt her commitment to her work.

This is all rather tragic when you consider that Lindsay Lohan is a mere 24 years old. But, the even bigger tragedy is that her mother, Dina Lohan seems to be her biggest enabler. Maybe it's not Lindsay Lohan who needs to be standing before a judge, but her mother.

Believing in and standing by your child is one thing. But, continuing to deny there are serious issues and chalking them up to "growing pains" seems to be the bigger crime.

Here's hoping Lindsay Lohan really will take responsibility for her actions, before it's too late.
