Lindsay Lohan's New Roommate: Is She Trying to Make Samantha Ronson Jealous?

Lindsay Lohan will have a new female roommate in her Venice pad, which just happens to be right next door to that of Samantha Ronson. So is Lindsay Lohan's new roommate just a way to try and make Samantha Ronson jealous?

According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan's new roommate is a girl she met at Betty Ford. Her new roommate has reportedly been sober longer than Lindsay Lohan has, so she might be a good influence on the recovering starlet. After all, Lindsay Lohan doesn't need to be hanging around girls living her old lifestyle of partying every night of the week; drinking; and doing other illegal things (well, there's always salvia, right?).

Unfortunately, there's a bit of a catch with Lindsay Lohan's new roommate: she's not going to be paying rent. So there is a slight chance that Lindsay Lohan's new roommate might be yet another hanger-on simply looking to use the actress, who was probably in desperate need of a friend that knows what she's going through after getting out of rehab. (Maybe she should have waited until Demi Lovato gets out; it sounds like that girl might be able to whip her back into shape.)

Anyway, Lindsay Lohan's new roommate is living rent-free with her since she's a little cash-strapped right now, but the whole situation still seems incredibly weird. It was crazy enough that, out of all the thousands of property listings Lindsay Lohan likely had to choose from, she just happened to pick a pad right next door to Samantha Ronson's place. And now she's got a female roommate moving in. Sadly, it's hard to not think that this is all some kind of crazy ploy to make Samantha Ronson jealous.

Then again, it might be a coincidence, and Lindsay Lohan's roommate might end up being good for her. Maybe they can even go watch the new February 2011 movie called "The Roommate" together. It stars Minka Kelly as a girl that moves in with a roommate (Leighton Meester) who gets a little too obsessed with her new live-in friend, and it sounds exactly like the kind of movie Lindsay Lohan could get a starring role in if she would just get her act together.

But in the meantime, it's just a shame that there aren't reality show cameras following her around. Something insane is bound to go down with this situation, and she could really use the reality show cash to pay for her new place.
