Line Simulator Game Review

A Flash-based Point and Click Adventure

Timothy Liu
Line Simulator is a Flash-animated simulator created by Newgrounds.com user Nicholas Wood (XxwaSSupxX). This adventure game was submitted to Newgrounds.com on March 13, 2010 and won a Daily 2nd Place award on March 14, 2010. It achieved front page status during the same week. As stated in the Author Comments of the game submission's website, half of the song tracks used in the submission were made by Nicholas Wood (XxwaSSupxX), while the other half of the song tracks originated from old NES games.

Game Background

This game is based on line waiting. You are waiting in line for the new and just released Playstation 4! However, you are not the only one that is excited about it. There are many more other individuals looking to get their hands on the new Sony game system. As such, you are not the first in line. You must now kill the others in line in order to get to the front of the queue and secure a copy of the Playstation 4 for yourself.

Gameplay

The objective of the game is to kill everyone so that you can get in front of the line and obtain your copy of the new Playstation 4 game console.

This is essentially a point and click type of game. You can collect a large number of items to help you along the way.

You can collect a total of 20 different collectables. Collectables range from anything from sticks to wrappers. Other items that are collected can be used to attack individuals that are standing in line in front of you. As you use items and kill off individuals, you will move up in levels, that is, you will move up in line. Get to the front of the line in this exciting point and click adventure game to complete the game.

Game Review

Line Simulator is an interesting take on the point and click type of game. The pixelated graphics, combined with the old-school type of song tracks, add to the game's appeal, which is nostalgic in nature. The many different ways to kill of individuals is also interesting and keeps players interested.

Line Simulator scores a 7/10 for mild amounts of entertainment.
