Linger in Shadows Review (PS3)

S.R.
Linger in Shadows is an adventure game released for Playstation 3 and developed by Plastic. This one's a bit of a mind bender, and it's worth checking out somewhere if you don't want to shell over the minimal amount of cash to own it. Let's talk about it, though.

Story : Well, I'm not sure if I can really explain the story here. It really is something you have to see for yourself, but I will say that it can be very thought provoking but also confusing. Basically, it's the kind of that you can interpret anything out of it so it leaves that up to you.

Graphics : The graphics are really quite amazing. The amount of detail here is staggering, and everybody who worked on this movie deserves a serious pat on the back. Really great work all around. The animation is really good and isn't something you'll forget easily. Definitely the kind of game, graphically, that sticks with you. There were no graphical glitches of any kind. The option to freeze the game or rewind the game was a really nice option. The reason is because the graphics are so drop dead gorgeous that they can't really be taken in with one continuous play. A really , positively excellent game graphically and perhaps it's strongest point.

Sound : Really amazing music all around, great compositions with great tones and great arrangements. The sound effects, if you can really call them that, are also really good and worth paying attention to. Overall, this game is a really good offering musically. I especially enjoy the introduction music.

Game play : This game is short. Very, very short. I'm not entirely sure you can really call it a game, but that matters not. The controls are a non factor, as are the sensitivity and the responsiveness of them. This game doesn't have much game play to comment on, as it's more of a teaser than anything else. Still though, the game is interactive enough and the quality of the graphics make the game feel very immersive despite it's length.

Re playability : There is absolutely no re playability here in terms of seeing things you haven't seen already. Still though, this game is a unique experience and one you'll want to enjoy over and over again for years to come.

Overall : 7/10. Really worth checking out. Hard to describe but this effort certainly isn't a bad one and is worth your attention, however brief.
