Lipodissolve: An Expensive Risk That Does Nothing but Leave Bruises!

Lipodissolve was the answer to her prayers, or at least Jes thought it was. A dear long time friend of mine was in tears after giving birth to her first child. Her tummy which was seamless, now bared a few stretch marks. As a mother myself, I knew that these unwanted scars was just a common factor of motherhood. Having stretch marks myself, I had tried for years to find a miracle over the counter cure. But no cream, or lotion helped the problem, so I accepted them as a part of me. Even though I wasn't nearly as upset as Jes was, I will admit that I'd rather not have them. That's why I was interested when she told me about this heaven sent procedure,Lipodissolve.

Jes found out about this upcoming procedure a little over 7 months ago through her family physician. I'll never forget the phone call she made to me. "Guess what, I'm getting rid of my stretch marks for good", was the first words out of her mouth, following my "Hello". She was so delighted, and couldn't wait to have the procedure done. The following day was spent trying to find the right Dr. to perform the miracle. Jes did all her homework, she got several quotes, had multiple consultations, and once she narrowed it down to two Dr's, she checked their credentials, and asked plenty of questions. What could go wrong.

My curiosity of whether or not this Lipodissolve was actually the answers to every womens prayers, and the desire to make my own body look better someday, lead me to tag along, for moral support of course. Before the procedure began I had a few questions of my own. I first asked the Dr. how safe the procedure was, and his answer was "nothing is 100%, the risk are very small". My next question was "what exactly is in this Lipodissolve that gets rid of stretch marks"? He answered like a salesman, " Phosphatidylcholine, multi- vitamins, alpha lipid acid, enzymes, natural extract, and a antibiotic, there is nothing in this that I wouldn't inject in myself, or my wife for that matter". My final question was " where is this procedure done", and he replied "I'm ready to start now".

In the office, the Dr. began the "life changing" procedure. Jes is a little squeamish of needles, so she may have said "ouch" a few times. The procedure consisted of the Dr. using a small syringe to inject the medication near the stretch marks on Jes's lower abdomen. Within ten minutes the procedure was complete. The doctor warned that she'd have some swelling, and light bruising for the next few days, and if she developed a fever, or redness to go to the emergency room. As Jes was checking out at the front desk, I noticed her rescheduling for another procedure. Jes, and a nurse standing at the desk explained to me that it takes several procedures for maxim results. So, in four weeks she'd be back to do it all again. The cost of the first procedure was $1,600, in she may need to come back 3 or 4 more times. All of a sudden my stretch marks didn't seem so bad.

Jes had a fairly bruised abdomen the next day, however the bruises faded within a week, and I seen no results. I didn't go with her for her second or third procedure, but I can tell you that she spent a total of $4,500 and 4 months later the stretch marks look the same. On top of that her lower abdomen now looks like she has slight cellulite on it. When she turns to the side you can see tiny dimples here and there. Needless to say she is very disappointed in the results.

Lipodissolve is not FDA approved, and has been ban in several countries already. No one really knows if there is any long term consequences to this procedure. I guess at times being beautiful is worth the risk for some. I have decided to live with my flaws, after seeing Jes put her life at risk, spend a ton of cash, and have nothing to show for it. Maybe Lipodissolve works for some people, after all it is used to correct several different problems. However is Jes's own words " I feel like I spent forty five hundred dollars for ten thousand bee stings".
