Lipstick on a Pig?

I Thought We Were Adults

Kerry Mulherin
Mr Obama!
What is this I hear

'bout lipstick on pigs?
My goodness...dear dear

Mr. Obama are you in a bad mood?
Did your Mom ever tell you that insults are rude?

What's going on, why all the fuss?
All we need know is what's in it for us

Forget all the trash talk, it does you no good
You sound like you need to head down to the hood

Give us some real smarts, something of use
Forget John and Sarah, and forget the darn moose

The time is a wastin' Mr. Obama
Just give us the goods, and drop all the drama

That's funny, well, the next 4 years will definitely be interesting. Does a pig where lipstick, and why would a pig ever get the urge to wear lipstick? Do dog's wear tutu's? Do mice sing soprano? Do turtles go skateboarding?

Kerry--I do so wish that people could present their political views without name-calling, anger, and attacks. Presenting one's views in a calm and fact-based way is always the best approach. Thanks for this poem.

All democrats do is insult people. The democrats are a rude party of malcontents and misfits.

I agree with Charlene, too. This was nicely done, and I too wonder if his nice rich grandmother that raised him ever taught him manners.
