Lipton Noodle Soup has a significant amount of sodium, but I am not surprised by that. While this may not be the ideal healthy selection for some men and women, it may be necessary for flavoring purposes. Everything else in this category looks promising for Lipton Noodle Soup. It is extremely low in fat and cholesterol, making it a good option for people who are trying to get their bodies into better shape. Lipton Noodle Soup only has 60 calories, so there is no need to worry about weight gain with this food product. It has folic acid and some protein, but I would not recommend skipping those daily vitamins that you get in other foods or supplements.
Quality
Lipton Noodle Soup comes in a small packet and has a powdery consistency before it is prepared. You have to add water with the package contents, but this helps to make broth. I underestimated Lipton Noodle Soup upon my first purchase because the noodles are tiny. However, they expand a little during preparation of the soup. The broth is clear and plentiful, depending on how much water is added to the pot or bowl. There are two ways to make Lipton Noodle Soup including in a microwave or on the top of your stove.
I have prepared this soup in microwaves and found that this method is pretty convenient. It would be best to use a microwaveable container that has a top. If not, you can still use a regular bowl, provided that you have something that can cover it completely. Using the regular bowl method requires you to monitor the soup frequently as it is heating in the microwave. Failing to do so will result in the contents spilling inside the microwave, which can be a mess.
It is best to prepare Lipton Noodle Soup on the stove top if you are in a hurry. Unlike many frozen meals, this soup may take more than 10 minutes to finish in a microwave. While I have enjoyed the microwaveable convenience, sometimes it is much better to boil Lipton Noodle Soup in a pot on the stove with some water. This process takes less time and gets you to the food a lot faster. College students may not have this option, but it is a good thing to implement if you do.
Price
Lipton Noodle Soup is one of the cheapest in its category at full price. While some other soups can cost $2.69 per can, I have found this food product for $1.49 and it was not even on sale. Not only is this inexpensive, but they also come in a 2-count box. That means that you can prepare two servings for less than you would usually pay for one can of soup. Even with one of the most popular chicken noodle soups costing $1.19 at many stores, Lipton Noodle Soup is still a good deal.
Taste Test
Lipton Noodle Soup does not even have chicken in it and still tastes terrific. The broth is seasoned with herbs and the noodles are satisfying. They may not be filling if you are very hungry, but can work well for men and women when they are sick. The chicken flavored broth is enough, but there is another option if you really have to have it. Lipton Noodle Soup has a "chicken noodle" version that also comes in a box and can give you more sustenance if that is preferred. I have tried both versions along with the "Extra Noodle" option and they all taste great. Although the noodles are thin and small, they are perfect for those times when you cannot eat any type of heavy food.
Verdict
Lipton Noodle Soup is cheap, convenient and tasty. There is not much more to ask for in a soup. These days, many soup companies are adding too much sodium and calories in their food. Lipton Noodle Soup provides a lot for the money that you pay. Considering that the regular price to be paid is very low, there is a winner with Lipton Noodle Soup for lunch, dinner or when you are not feeling well.
