Taste of
Lipton's Sparkling Berry Green Tea
This drink tasted a lot better than I expected. The berry flavoring makes this taste a bit like raspberry tea, but I could also make out the flavors of blueberries and grapes as well. There's not a lot of green tea flavor present, because it's very sweet, but there is a slight dry bitter aftertaste present that teas give off.
The citric acid wasn't super strong, but it was enough to make the tea fizzy and lively, because tea, even heavily sweetened tea drinks can taste very flat and boring.
The only downside to the Sparkling Berry is the high fructose corn syrup. It makes the green tea sweet, but it also gives it a heavy, syrupy texture like Lipton's Brisk Tea or like a soft drink. I prefer tea taste more natural, watered down, and lightly sweetened, so I really didn't care for the thick consistency of this.
In the End...
Overall, I really enjoyed the flavors and the fizziness of this Sparkling tea, it tastes like a mixture of green tea, and sparkling grape juice. I thought it refreshing and unique. I'd buy it again, and I wouldn't mind trying the other flavors as well. 3.5 out of 5 stars.
