Imagine a cascading waterfall or perhaps the still waters of a lake. Then imagine the most perfectly designed building in the world wrapped in waves of flowing water. You would think that the reality of such a concept is just a little far fetched. In the world of in architectural innovation one architectural firm brought the concept to life. An architectural firm known as Axis Mundi had the vision and foresight to bring such a concept to 3 dimensional life. Axis Mundi of New York created a sensational exterior ripple like effect over the entire exterior surface of a building in Barcelona, Spain. The surface of the headquarters for the innovating bottled water manufactures H2O was transformed into the flowing images of water cascading in waves around the width of the building. The flowing water effect is stunning to see from first sight. This six-story building is one of Barcelona's most celebrated architectural design attracting drawing in curious onlookers from all over the world. Located near the Antonio Gaudi's residential masterpiece - the Casa Mila.

Replicating the movement of water, the architectural firm behind the design used a wave like pattern to construct the facade that frames the headquarter of H2O. This design concepts has made it a design world's first. Axis Mundi wanted to find the most predominating imagery to represent the H2O water bottling firm. After some thought and research, the Axis Mundi concluded that the imagery of water would best represent the water manufacturer best. According to Dezeen, the facade will be "made of a polymer composite and suspended on a steel truss attached to the existing building."

The H20 project was acquired by Axis Mundi on Jun 21, 2010. The concept behind the flowing water construction was a basic one. Architects started with a phenolic composite. From photographic image the projects water emulation begun to take shape. Axis Mundi created 3d form models that were molded to perfection. The particular material used allows the long-term durability of the buildings facade. Each rippled creation was molded to form an overlapping look. It also was the most conducive material for effect and reflection of light from the buildings surface. The stunning outcome is awesome architectural first. The buildings design has a secondary fade that is said to "acts as a brise-soleil." H20 building exudes organic presence within. Described as organically shaped, the layers of emulated water represents the environment as well as a highly symbolically H20 philosophy.
