I used to be more involved in it until I felt like people just liked me cause I was such an ass kisser. But now everyone is like that, but I was trying to love God and others without loving myself properly. Now I have learned that it is important to feel happy inside and I do so by being quiet. I can be with people, and I can be alone, and I'm happy either way.
Now they're having a new series called "Love and Respect" in which they'll use movies to help discuss romance, sex and relationships. Now this is sure to be interesting, since I've been talking about respecting your loved ones, so we'll see Tim's version, in HDTV and complete with a band and video. I tried helping out, but they wanted me to do heavy lifting and I'm a girl so that wasn't going to work out.
So I'm going to do my part and write about it so that others in the area may look into it. They also are online at www.liquidchurch.com The people are really nice and everyone's friendly and they try not to be judgmental so even if you wanted to just poke your head in and look around a bit, you might like it. I have some friends I've known since the beginning that I still talk to. They still go, some got married, some are still single.
I don't go to the fellowships so much anymore because I have other interests besides Liquid, but some people find them very helpful. I am more into meeting people to date right now, so while church is great, if I want to find someone, I don't necessarily want to feel like a relationship is out of the question. I mean I may have met guys who wanted to date there, and some of them are alright, but I still want to socialize at the Republican Club. I still go to the Opera and I am writing online. I don't have time to chit chat with people who may or may not be positive influences in my life. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of great people there. But I've met my share of heart aches too.
