"Liquid Metals" Nail Polish Collection by Nicole by OPI: Winter 2011

Want to ring in the new year with new fantastic, eye-catching shades for your nails? Nicole by OPI will be debuting their winter 2011 nail polish collection in January 2011 to help enhance your new look for the new year. With four classy and shimmering shades, each shade will appeal to all nail polish fanatics and complement all skin tones.

These four new shades include: "Miss Independent" (a shimmering pink violet metallic color), "The Next CEO" (a shimmering muted gold metallic color), "Rich In Spirit" (a silver toned green-blue metallic color), and "It Starts With Me" (a pearly champagne metallic color). Each shade has a smooth and "liquid" look so that the overall color and tone is not overbearing and tacky looking. "It Starts With Me" is probably the most unique looking shade out of the entire batch, followed by "Rich In Spirit", "Miss Independent", and "The Next CEO". Metallics nail polish shades have been all the rage, but pearly and shimmering metallics like these are the only few that actually suit all skin tones without looking overdone. They also can be worn with all clothing colors and add that extra kick of color and sparkle where you need it. Are there dupes of these shades? Most likely, but exact dupes, not really. Other brands might offer similar looking shades, but without the softness and smoothness.

This collection will be available in the beginning of 2011. The plus about Nicole by OPI nail polishes are that they are "3 Free" meaning they are completely free of the following chemicals: DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde, which are three harmful chemicals generally found in most nail polishes. The downside of Nicole by OPI nail polishes are the price and availability. These individual bottles usually retail for about seven dollars each and can only be found in beauty supply stores such as ULTA and can also be purchased with online retailers. Some shades can also be found at your local Target store, but each store is not guaranteed to carry all of the shades in each collection.
