"It's the perfect time for Liquid Technology to make this move," says Richard Greene, VP of Operations for Liquid Technology, "With our on-going expansion and increased revenue and market share, we believe this landmark building will suit our business needs to the fullest and afford us the opportunity for continued growth in the tri-state area."
Officials within the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the company that now manages BAT on behalf of the City of New York, are also pleased about Liquid Technology's 10-year, 20,000 square-foot lease. NYCEDC's Director of Leasing, Lee Winter, stated, "BAT continually strives for diversity among our business tenants and with the recent addition of Liquid Technology; we are excited and pleased to have a dynamic technology company on our roster of tenants."
Brooklyn Army Terminal was designed by world-renowned architect, Cass Gilbert, and construction was completed in September of 1919. Originally a military depot and supply base, most prevalently used during World War II, the BAT was purchased by the City of New York in 1981. Today, the renovated four million square-foot industrial complex is home to more than 70 businesses and 2,500 employees.
