Lisa Simpson Gets Married

Karen Barnes
NOTE: There is a lot of tounge-n-cheek humor in this article, please take it as that and nothing more.

The day after Chelsea Clinton marries her long time beau, Lisa Simpson, you got that right Homer and Marge Simpson's daughter, is supposed to be getting married. What I wonder is Lisa Simpson going to have a $3 Million dollar wedding like Chelsea Clinton?

Who is Lisa Simpson's Supposed Husband?

It's no other than Hugh St. John Alastair Parkfield. He's the English fella she met at college. Imagine that two cartoons getting married.

Where was Hugh and Lisa's Wedding?

Hugh and Lisa's wedding was at Springfield Meadow. Not quite sure where that is in cartoon world, but it surely has to be a nice place. You know Marge wouldn't let her first born daughter get married just anywhere.

How Long Did Lisa Simpson Wait to Get Married?

Lisa has been waiting to get married since 1995. That's 15 years in cartoon and human life. If you calculate it in dog years, it's 105 years. Take that Chelsea Clinton.

Of course, it was a fortune teller in one of the episodes who told Lisa she would be getting married on August 1, 2010. Who are we to say what a cartoon character believes in right?

The Bierber Media Blitz

Since Lisa Simpson is a cartoon and Justin Bierber is a real person. His croonies pulled a media blitz to try to overshadow Lisa's wedding because he wasn't invited to sing at their wedding.

Where are Hugh and Lisa going to honeymoon?

Their honeymoon as been kept so quiet no one knows where they will be going. This may be due to them not wanting Bart to know so he won't ruin the honeymoon for the couple.
