List of 5 Christian Hard Rock Bands that Really Rock
Hard Christian Rock that Any Music Fan Can Enjoy
There are some of these Christian rock bands that have gone above and beyond their "calling" to make music that can really reach out to a new generation of music lovers and even non-Christians. These hard rock bands embrace their musicality and offer something unique to their listeners.
For something special for you or a gift for someone else, consider these bands:
Christian Hard Rock Band - Skillet
This band from Memphis, TN has been writing music since 1996. Their musical style has spanned the genres from industrial rock to alternative. Skillet's two most recent studio albums, Collide and Comatose, were Grammy-nominated. This heavy band sports lyrics that often would sound more at home in a worship album, but at the same time perfectly matches their unique style.
Christian Hard Rock Band - Emery
This post-hardcore band from South Carolina makes the list for their very unique sound. In the midst of a genre that is riddled with copycats and repeats, Emery's fresh take on the post-hardcore scene is a welcome addition to the music enthusiast's library. Their album The Question deserves your attention.
Christian Hard Rock Band - Underoath
The one metalcore band on this list, Underoath is a Christian rock band that shouldn't be missed. Underoath's mix of melody, power, and hard, heavy electrics combine with strong lyrics and an irrepressible acknowledgement of their faith to create a band that draws its strength and inspiration from someplace "other" than anyone else.
As an added bonus, the drummer from Underoath Aaron Gillespie has created the side project The Almost, an emo/alternative rock band that would also have made the list had it not been for Underoath's strong influences.
Christian Hard Rock Band - Flyleaf
On numerous occasions non-Christian music lovers have said that Flyleaf is a Christian hard rock band that they can get behind, and understandably so. Flyleaf originated in Temple, TX with their own brand of alternative metal, and quickly rose up the charts of both Christian and secular critics. Their debut album went platinum, and MTV recognized Flyleaf as artist of the week in 2007.
Christian Hard Rock Band - Family Force 5
Family Force 5 has a special place on this list. One of the criteria that turn a Christian hard rock band from dismal to desirable is its ability to distinguish itself from the crowd. Family Force 5 is, simply put, unique. The self-described "crunk rock" band hails from Atlanta, GA, and their individual style of party music is a one-of-a-kind treat. Check out Business Up Front, Party in the Back.
Try out these bands for a different take on the Christian music scene, or as a great gift for the hard music lover in your life.

Too be honest.. I see that some of you guys think that Red and TFK deserve a slot in the list..but to me their messages in their songs are much better than FF5, and Flyleaf.
I think demon hunter should be added to the list.
Skillet better than RED
