List of Emotions and What Kind of Essential Oils to Use to Either Enhance or Subdue Them

Emotions are part of who we are as humans. We are emotional beings. And many of our imbalances and things that make us sick are caused from emotional imbalances. In other words, our emotions can make us sick.

First things first, if you've never used essential oils before, read a primer I wrote on essential oils, what they are and the difference between therapeutic grade and most "on the market" essential oils called "Many Helpful Suggestions on Uses of Essential Oils" before delving into this article, it will save you lots of questions.

More and more these days, plants are finding a medicinal purpose in our lives, people like natural cures rather than subjecting themselves to harsh man-made chemicals and pills. Essential oils are natural gifts we have access to that can aid our recoveries and help to bring holistic balance and well-being into our lives. Use this list wisely, and note whenever you are feeling these emotions to add some of the corresponding essential oils into your day, you will definitely feel better!

Anger

Everyone feels anger at times in their lives, sometimes it helps to count to ten, but if you are feeling angry for an extended period of time, this can be very detrimental to your health. If you can't get professional help, try using the following essential oils either in a diffuser in your home, work space, or carry a hankie with a few drops of one or more of the following essential oils on it: Bergamot, Jasmine, Lemon, Neroli, Orange, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Roman Chamomile, Rose, Vetiver, and Ylang Ylang.

Anxiety

Everyone feels anxious at times. Sometimes we just can't help but feel anxiety taking over, such as before an important meeting, on our wedding day, your child's first day of school...whatever it may be that causes you feelings of anxiety, essential oils can help. Try using a few drops on a candle, in a diffuser, or on a hankie to carry with you -- one or more of the following essential oils: Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Neroli, Patchouli, Roman Chamomile, Rose, Sandalwood, Vetiver. Sometimes we all need a boost of confidence. When we feel insecure and our self-esteem is lacking, try using the following essential oils to help; Bay Laurel, Bergamot, Cypress, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Nutmeg, Orange, Peppermint and Rosemary.

Depression

Depression and anxiety are at all time highs in our country. There are a myriad of reasons why, but if you need a little boost, try using these essential oils in your emotional arsenal, you'll be glad you did: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Helichrysum, Jasmine, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Neroli, Orange, Roman Chamomile, Rose, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang. Fatigue, Exhaustion and Burnout

These are common emotions in this day and age in our society. Fatigue, exhaustion and just being burnt-out are more common than you'd think. If you need a pick-me-up these are the essential oils to grab; Basil, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Clary Sage, Cypress, Frankincense, Ginger, Grapefruit, Helichrysum, Jasmine, Lemon, Patchouli, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Spearmint and Vetiver.

Fear

Fear is the opposite of LOVE, and we all experience it at one time or another, and sometimes it can be overwhelming. If you can't get professional help for constant feelings of fear, keep these essential oils close at hand and they can help calm and relax you with their beautiful scents. Grief

Happiness and Peace

Sometimes we all need a little happiness and peace in our lives to perk us up and give us a happy boost! These essential oils are just right for bringing a smile to your face: Bergamot, Cardamom, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Lemon, Neroli, Orange, Rose, Sandalwood, and Ylang Ylang.

Insecurity

Everyone feels insecure at times, we can't all be great at everything, and so our ego's take over and tell us we aren't good enough...but be brave, this can put the insecurity demon in the trash...just grab a whiff of these essential oils and you'll feel much better! Irritability

Loneliness

Memory and Concentration

Studying can be a hassle, and especially when we are required to focus, concentrate and remember specific things, which can also lead to anxiety, but hold on there Bobbalouie, grab your essential oils and help is on the way! Panic and Panic Attacks

No one wants to feel panic or have a panic attack, but in many cases, people just can't help it, but don't worry, there is more help out there.
