List Poem, Per Poetry Month Challenge of the Day (4.20.2009)
Why Deonils Writes ... Poetry and in Other Genres
I write good poems and bad, but I write anywhere
I write poetry because I caught joy, color and rhythm
I write in appreciation and admiration of Shakespeare
I write in appreciation of Wordsworth and Ed Lear ...
I write in gratitude to Hard Times, Dickens and Dickinson
I write poorly in iambic pentameter, but I love to ... in any meter
I write with honesty, perhaps with integrity ... some recognition
I write some amateur sonnets; only one ranks higher
I write about all seasons; better to live them; to thrive in them!
I write as if I were a crocus, a rock, creature ... a tree
I write as if I were a woman, a minority
I write, often, because a word may have inspired me
I write not only because of words, but of the Word (biblically)
I write of this journey; this has helped me ... wondrous therapy.
I write in all categories to stretch my mind, heart, vocabulary ...
I write for the right reasons; we write for people and for Eternity!

So well spoken.
Shalom/Greetings to Keoni, Janet Hunt and John - by the way, I did not stay consistent on AC because another site offered instant feedback/gratification. I learned that all good things/encouragement come if one is willing to work and wait. Amen...thanks AC friends. Blessings
Great list poem, I so nearly wrote a similar list poem to this instead I went for travel, it was not as intense as your poem so glad I went for my second choice.
All great reasons to write., I like this one.
