Listen to God's Voice when You Pray

In the last few years, I learned about how to get a valuable praying time and how to listen to God's voice. Listening to God's voice is not a supernatural thing to do. Furthermore, this privilege is also not only given to certain people. Everybody can hear God's voice as long as we are close to Him in prayers and we keep our heart open to receive His guidance.

Previously my prayers were just straight forward because I only pray for what I want to get. No praise, no adoration at all; my prayers were just full with requests. I also did not have courage to pray in front of my cell group because I just could not say anything. I was a very poor prayer! However, after I learned little by little through my friends in the cell group and listened to the Sunday preaching, I found that praying is fun and exiting.

You can take a quiet moment in the morning or night time. You also can say a little prayer all the time, while you do your activity. The position when you are praying can be what ever you like; sitting lay down, standing, kneeling or even walking. These are things that can help you to get valuable praying time;

First step, turn on soft adoration songs or play your music instrument (you can light up a candle) then take a quiet moment listen to the song or your music; you may sing as you want too.

Second step, say thank you and adoration to God e.g. You are my Lord, amazing Lord, Redeemer Lord, Loving God, etc. God likes to be praised. Then you can tell Him what is inside your mind and heart; like you talk to your own father, mother or your best friend. You can even tell Him your daily activities. It is unnecessary to say your prayer in beautiful words. Just say in your daily words that you are comfortable with.

Third step; read the Bible and contemplate the content of commandment you just read.

Fifth step, tell Him what is your tussle or your wishes and also ask what He wants you to do in your live.

Sixth step; close your prayer with thanks and in God's name.

I believe that you will feel peace in your heart after praying. Be persistence with what you ask in your prayer and trust Him that He will give the best for you at the right time. Listen to God's voice everyday especially when you are praying. When you feel very close to Him, you can feel the answer through your heart or from any moment in your daily life.

HE always listens your prayers and keeps His promises. We only need to TRUST Him until the miracle come true. He knows what is best for us and He is never late to deliver His promises. God bless us.
